Pick-A-Pine Plantation is a 70 -acre former tobacco farm which has beenturned into a choose -and- cut Christmas tree farm. We have plantedapproximately 8,000 trees, including Virginia Pine, Scotch Pine, WhitePine, Norway Spruce and Douglas fir, but at this time only VirginiaPine and Scotch Pine are ready for harvest.
Weare open for business the day after Thanksgiving and each weekendthrough Christmas eve -- 9 am - 5 pm Saturdays and noon - 5 pm Sundays.We are open weekdays by appointment.
After you choose-and-cutyour fresh, Virginia grown tree, enjoy a hayride (weather permitting)around the farm to see the honey bees, farm animals (milk cows, horses,chickens, ducks, guineas, and geese), and the first electric generatingwind turbine in southside Virginia!
There is a gift shop on thepremises and we sell handmade wreaths, small gift items, farm freshhoney, farm fresh eggs, and other locally made products such ashandmade soaps and jewelry.
