Fax: (804) 909-1980 Breeze Hill Farm began in Powhatan County, Virginia, October 1994, with four Romney x Border Leciester sheep and a spinning wheel. Since that day, we have placed our focus on producing high quality spinning fibers from naturally raised healthy animals. We have grown but have never lost sight of the original plan.
In 2002, after surviving a steady decline in interest in the fiber and sheep industry, we made the decision to keep our small flock of sheep and add dairy goats to the farm. That was the beginning of a whole new adventure! Of course, we chose to raise these goats the same as we have raised the sheep, using an all natural approach for feeding, no unnecessary chemicals in their diets and observing organic practices (though we are not certified). First we thought about using the goat's milk to make cheese..there simply wasn't enough money in the farm budget for that, so what else could we do with a growing surplus of milk? The answer was, make soaps and lotions. After a good year of research and many trials and errors, our first products were introduced locally. They were a success and continue to be a success.
The products you will find in our store are only a sampling of the line we have available. In our farm workshop, we have developed a wonderful Lip Balm, and a Jewelweed Balm & Soap (for poison ivy and oak). The most recent product we have produced in a Laundry Soap Kit. It is an all natural unscented soap that has received raves from our testers and first purchasers.
