Local Roots Farm sits on the flood-prone banks of the SnoqualmieRiver, near the town of Carnation - about 25 miles from Seattle.
Local Roots is Certified Naturally Grown, an alternative to the USDA's Organic label certification.
Local Roots' Community Supported Agriculture program runs from earlyJune to mid-October. Each week, members receive a box of fresh-pickedvegetables and herbs from the Local Roots farm. They have delivery sites in CapitolHill, Queen Anne, Phinney Ridge, and Maple Leaf. Members may also pickup on the Local Roots farm in Carnation. Local Roots grows more than 50 varietiesof vegetables, as well as herbs and flowers.
