Superior genetics, show champions and amazing fiber and products - it'sall here at Poplar Hill. We have fallen in love with our amazingalpacas and they in turn have rewarded our care by producing the mostamazingly soft and fine fiber you've ever seen. Don't trust us, trustthe boxes and boxes of blue ribbons won at national shows for ourstunning alpaca fleeces.

Forus its about giving the alpacas the most natural environment possible. We've researched the minerals found in the high Andean pastures to giveour herd the closest possible growing conditions found in their nativeland of South America. Grass and pasture fed for most of the year, thealpacas are thriving! Healthy pacas means a higher quality ofoutstanding fiber for you to choose from.

Spinnerswe have raw fleeces available, knitters we have yarns or if you wouldlike to have a fleece processed especially for you we'll be glad to doso. Interested in felting, you will not believe the softness of yourfinished projects unless you've used pure Alpaca.

We invite youto come and visit POPLAR HILL ALPACAS in the southwestern corner ofVirginia, where the Blue Ridge Mountains meet the New River Valley. We've had the opportunity to create a human-animal bond with our herdthat is beyond explanation. They have been a joy for our children, aviable source of income for our family farm, and have provided hours ofwonder for all of our visitors. We ship products nationwide. Farm hoursare by appointment.
